About Jay
Jay has been flying for over thirty years, starting out as a flight instructor at a grass airfield before moving into the airline world.
In 2001 he joined easyJet where he flew the B737 and A319, and qualified as a CRM instructor. He then moved to the Middle East where he flew worldwide and trained over one hundred nationalities of pilot.
Following the successful introduction of EBT within the airline, he developed training courses for ab-initio, command upgrade, instructor training, UPRT and more.
Jay is an instructor and examiner, current on A319/A320/A321, A330, B777 and B787 types. He is also a Lead Simulator Evaluation Pilot.
Jay comes from his role as a practicing instructor and examiner and we engaged with him in the project management of EBT. He energetically supported the new system and set about leading a great team to create a ground-breaking CBTA type rating program blended into the A320 Multi Crew Pilot Licence. Jay is a great ambassador for EBT and Competency-Based Training and Assessment.
