About Arnar
Arnar was awarded his commercial flying license in 1996 and started as a Flight Instructor and flying smaller aircraft in Iceland. He joined Air Atlanta Icelandic on the B747 where he worked as a Performance Engineer and CRM Instructor from 2000.
Arnar joined Icelandair and is currently working as an Instructor on the B767/757. He has been managing the CRM and Human Factors for Icelandair.
He was awarded his MSc in Human Factors and Safety Assessments from Cranfield University in the UK with a thesis focused on simulator pilot training.
Arnar led the EBT implementation with Icelandair and has been working with other operators under the EASA regulation. He is an active member of the IATA Pilot training task force and a true ambassador for EBT.
