Cpt. Vasilis Triantafyllou

Vasilis is an airline pilot, instructor, and examiner. He has 23 years of professional experience serving a major airline, while based in Heraklion of Crete, Greece.

Vasilis made his first flight at the age of 14, flying paragliders at a local air club. By the age of 17, he was a certified Private Pilot for light aircraft. After finishing his military service, he moved to the U.S. where he acquired his Commercial, Instrument, Multi-Engine Pilot and Flight Instructor License. The start of his professional career was made by providing Ground and Flight training instruction.

Today, Vasilis holds 3 type ratings (A320TRI/TRE, B737, ATR72) and has logged more than 16000 hours of airline operation. As an instructor, he has accumulated more than 1300 hours of simulator training and assessment, as well as more than 2000 hours of flight training. He is a CRM and Aviation Security instructor and assessor while being responsible for the EBT implementation, as a Deputy Chief Flight Instructor of a major airline.
