About Rick
Rick started his flying career in 1995 with the British Army, mainly flying Gazelle helicopters. After a full military career, he moved into the civil sector. Where he now flies the Airbus EC135 series of helicopters. Rick has also flown the BK117/EC145 series.
He is currently a Line Training Captain, CRM Trainer / Examiner and Human Factors Manager for a large UK operator.
Rick is passionate about Human Factors training. Especially in methodologies like EBT / CBTA where they can be used to enhance the crew’s performance for the real-world challenges they may face.
He holds a Masters Degree in Human Factors in Aviation, where he researched Dynamic Decision-Making. Rick is the current Chair of the UK’s CAA Flight Crew Human Factors Advisory Panel.
Rick is a great addition to our team helping us to expand our reach into the helicopter world eager for EBT and CBTA.
